Blackhawk crashed in Afghanistan turned out to be the act of the Taliban

Blackhawk helicopter that crashed in southern Afghanistan in December 2013 turned out to be knocked out by the Taliban.

As reported by AFP, U.S. officials now believe the Taliban were behind the fall of the U.S. military helicopter.

The incident was initially described as an accident.

Six U.S. troops were killed when a Blackhawk helicopter crashed in Zabul Province on December 17.

"The families of the soldiers who were killed in a helicopter crash December 17 has been notified that the action that makes the enemy cause of accidents and loss of life," said the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) led by NATO in an email to AFP.

"The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be provided when the investigation is completed," ISAF said.
