Directorate General of Customs and Excise , Ministry of Finance has conducted 4,752 enforcement cases that include violations of law efforts in customs and excise sector during the year 2013.

"For a related action , there were 3,690 cases of import , export as many as 237 cases , 128 cases and excise facilities 697 cases , " said the Director General of Customs and Excise Kuswandono Court on Wednesday .

Court explained the case of 4752 , as many as 201 cases of a violation of commodities and textile products , 213 cases of mobile phones ( cell phones ) and accessories , 1,158 cases of prohibition barring , 217 drug cases , 608 cases of plain tobacco cigarettes without the ribbon , 421 cases of alcoholic beverages and 1,934 cases of other goods .

" The potential loss of 4,752 state this case is about Rp165 , 15 billion minus the drugs , because we think this drug is of no value and classified as damaged goods , " he said .

According to the Court , the amount of action that is performed along the Directorate General of Customs and Excise in 2013 , an increase of almost two -fold compared to the amount of action that is carried out in 2012 which only reached 2,998 cases of violation of the law .

" The case increased nearly two -fold in 2013 , but the potential for higher losses in 2012 is Rp247 , 78 billion . Cases increased in 2013 include action in textiles such as used clothing , telephone , tobacco and liquor , " he said .

In addition, the Court added during 2013 Directorate General of Customs and Excise noted no increase in suppression activities in the border region of Indonesia from 46 cases in 2012 to 150 cases of violation of the law in 2013 .

" That is why since the beginning of the year asking for additional employees for heightened security . Currently we have 10,600 employees and last of the recruitment process there is an additional 260 people . Additionally there is the process of adding infrastructure facilities , " he said .

The Court also added additional staff needed to oversee customs and excise receipts in 2014 is targeted at Rp170 , 2 billion from excise Rp116 , 3 billion , import duties Rp33 , 9 trillion and Rp20 trillion duties .

" We are optimistic acceptance is reached , but we do not know will pursue the acceptance of which , because of the duty must be 4 trillion reduction because of a ban on exports of mineral goods , " he said .
