Janet Yellen becomes the next Federal Reserve Chairman

  The U.S. Senate on Monday to make sure Janet Yellen becomes the next Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke replaces whose term of office is completed later this month.

Senate voted 56 against 26 for approval Yellen as the U.S. central bank governor.

Yellen is currently Vice Chairman of the Fed will be the first woman to lead the U.S. central bank in 100 years of age the Fed.

She was nominated by President Barack Obama in October last year and will be the first Democrat to run the job since 1987, according to Xinhua.
