Letter in a bottle ' oldest ' in the world
The letter in the bottle , which is estimated as the oldest in the world , has submitted a letter to the sender grandchildren .
Bottle of beer contains the letter thrown into the sea near Germany 101 years ago and was found by fishermen in the Baltic Sea last month .
Inside the bottle was found postcard , dated May 17, 1913 from someone named Richard Platz , who asked to be sent to the address in Berlin .
Some circles say this might be a letter in a bottle oldest ever found .
Researchers at the International Maritime Museum in Hamburg later managed to track down Angela Erdmann , 62 -year -old woman who lives in Berlin .
Erdmann said that Platz is his grandfather .
He visited the maritime museum last week and on this occasion the message shown grandfather .
" It was a touching moment , " said Erdmann told the German news agency , DPA , described his feelings when holding the bottle containing the letter .
" It feels tears , " he said .
Erdmann said that never met his grandfather , who reportedly died in 1946 at the age of 54 years .
But he said it made him want to message invention further explore his grandfather 's life .BBC
