. Saudi Arabia on Sunday confirmed the increase in cases of the deadly virus in the country in the past two weeks . The statement comes amid criticism that the kingdom ' not do much to address the epidemic .

Last weekend , the United Arab Emirates announced six cases separately Middle East Respiratory Syndrome ( MERS ) between their medical crew . One of them died . The large number of cases among medical officers raises questions about how effective government control of Arab countries will be MERS . Moreover , endemic already occurred 1.5 years later .
