 Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire that burned the motor sailboat "Lasmini", in Port Kalianget, Sumenep, Friday (12/04/2013). As reported the ship was carrying fuel oil to the island Sapudi, District Sapudi, Sumenep.

Six crew (ABK) from the village of Nong Mountain, District Sepudi, is now in police Kalianget. The six crew members it is Misnali (24), Ahmad (19), Holiq (50), Mail (26), Moyo (60) and Moh. Rosahid (45). The ship contains 68 drums of fuel in the form of 14 premium and 54 drums of diesel.

Kalianget police chief, said the AKP Suwardi, KLM Lasmini fires allegedly due to a spark in the machine then grabbed spilled diesel fuel on fire.

After the fire accompanied by the sound of an explosion, all crew saved themselves by jumping into the sea. "There were no fatalities in this incident and only some minor injuries," he added.

Two units of the fire department of the Government of Sumenep deployed to extinguish the fire. Fire can be extinguished one hour after the incident.

Suwardi asserted, to ascertain the cause of the fire it would conduct an investigation. "All our crew will ask for information to determine the details of the cause of this fire," he concluded.
