South Korean ship sinking : The rescue operation is underway

A rescue operation took place Wednesday morning ( 16 / 04 ) following a distress signal received from a ship carrying about 450 passengers off the coast of South Korea .

Officials said the coast guard , navy ships and helicopters have been sent to a ship that sank off the south coast ..

The signal is sent Byungpoong 20 kilometers from the island , officials said .

The passenger ship of 6,825 tons were mostly high school students .
About 120 passengers have been rescued an hour after the distress signal is received .

In the ship there are also approximately 150 car .
