Earlier, 16 protesters received by the representatives of Myanmar Embassy Deputy in the embassy building, one of which is the Islamic Defenders Front Chairman Habib Rizieq. They urged the Myanmar government to immediately stop the violence experienced by ethnic Rohingya in Myanmar. In addition, they also asked for direct dialogue with the Ambassador of Myanmar. At least seven Muslim organizations rallied in Jakarta, Friday (05/03/2013), in relation to violence against Rohingya Muslims. The civil society organizations gathered in the Islamic People's Forum (FUI).

Head of Public Relations Jakarta Police Commissioner Rikwanto said, based on reports received, various Islamic organizations that will carry out the action in front of the Myanmar Embassy to Indonesia.

"Protesters from FUI or Muslim Forum. CBOs its mass FPI, JAT, LINE, KISDI, DDII, GPMI, and Muslim Youth," Rikwanto said in a statement on Friday.

Rikwanto said the number of protesters estimated at 750 to 1,000 people. Jakarta Police deploy 1,654 personnel to secure the rally.

"(Action) centered on the roundabout, then head to the Embassy of Myanmar," said Rikwanto.

Directorate of Traffic Jakarta Police will also conduct the transfer of density flow in case of on-site demonstrations. This is to prevent traffic congestion. A total of 150 traffic police personnel deployed for the smooth handling and the traffic diversion.
