Goals from Kolbeinn Sigthorsson, Christian Eriksen, Viktor Fischer, Siem de Jong, and Danny Hoesen brazing the title though there is still one match remaining for them four points clear of their arch-rivals, PSV Eindhoven. Thus, Ajax won the Dutch in the last three seasons.

Manager Frank de Boer became one of only three coaches Ajax who successfully presented three league titles in a row. Previously, similar achievements carved Rinus Michels and Louis van Gaal, where time last scored a hat trick in 1994-96.
