Indonesia co-chair the sixth meeting this time with Columbia.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to deliver a speech at the 6th Meeting of the Foreign Ministers Forum of East Asia-Latin America (FEALAC) in Nusa Dua, Bali, on Friday.
FEALAC formed in 1999 consisting of 36 countries, 16 of which came from East Asia, Indonesia, Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, PRC, Japan, South Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Mongolia.
While the rest came from Latin America are Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic and Suriname .
Countries of Latin America and East Asia has become an important trading partner for Indonesia.
According to the Ministry of Trade, Indonesia's total trade with Latin American countries FEALAC members in 2012 amounted to 8.3 billion U.S. dollars, while the East Asian countries amounted to 237 billion U.S. dollars.
In addition to East Asia, Latin America is a promising market for Indonesia because of the region's total imports reached more than 466 billion dollars each year.
Before giving a speech at the 6th Meeting of FEALAC Foreign Minister, President Yudhoyono will first receive a courtesy call on South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se.
In the afternoon, the President is scheduled to give a keynote speech at the first meeting of Chief Editor Forum held in Indonesia in Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC).
Accompanying the President in his four-day working visit to Bali this time include the Coordinating Minister Djoko Suyanto, the Education Minister Mohammad Nuh, and Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam. There also appears to Special Staff of President of International Relations Teuku Faiza and Presidential Special Staff Firmanzah Economics.
