The visit was interesting at a time when China was reluctant to withdraw from unilateral claims over the entire South China Sea; dealing with Brunei Darussalam which became one of the four countries claimants most important maritime regions of the world.

One step that is considered quite important is China's willingness to discuss this with the countries concerned; encouraged Indonesia's efforts to bring all parties back to the code bertataperilaku in the water.

Sultan Bolkiah said exchanges between the peoples of the two countries have a long and friendly relations between the two countries have a close.

Brunei is willing to cooperate with China to deepen strategic partnership between the two countries to boost cooperation in the fields of energy, agriculture, culture and education.

Brunei expecting an active role and responsibility of China in the maintenance of regional peace and stability.

Sultan Bolkiah expressed gratitude for China's strong support for Brunei to assume his responsibilities as chair of ASEAN, and said Brunei is willing to work with China to jointly strengthen the strategic partnership between ASEAN and China in order to improve the prosperity, stability and regional peace.

Wang said the Chinese president, Xi Jinping, and Sultan Bolkiah agree to boost strategic partnership between the two countries, which indicates a healthy friendship and mutual trust between them and a more stable development in the future of their relationship.

Wang said the main aspect of the ASEAN-China relationship is good neighborly friendship and joint development and mutually beneficial cooperation. Both sides are fully capable of maintaining peace and stability in the region, including the South China Sea.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership between China and ASEAN, while ASEAN Brunei became chairman.
