A powerful car bomb rocked the capital Cairo , Egypt , near the city's police headquarters , local authorities said .
At least three people were killed and more than 30 people were injured , as stated by a number of officials .

The attack comes ahead of the anniversary of the revolution in 2011 which led to the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak .
