One percent of the richest people in the world will get richer, says Oxfam
Wealth everyone in the world will be held only by the richest one percent of the people on this earth, according to a study by Oxfam group.
Assets owned by the richest man group will increase by more than 50% in 2016.
According to Oxfam, the last year of their wealth has actually increased from 44% in 2009 to 48%.
Oxfam report warns that the "explosion gap" will slow down the fight against global poverty.
Winnie Byanyima, executive director of Oxfam International asked whether the people of the world really want to live in a world where one percent of the population controls the wealth of the world.
"The scale of global inequality is staggering, although there are many other issues that go into the global agenda, the gap between the rich and not rich is widening," Byanyima said in a statement released on Monday ahead of the World Economic Forum in Davos. (BBC)
