At least 14 people were killed in various places in Egypt when demonstrations occurred on Saturday ( 25 / 01 ) to mark the three -year insurgency that toppled President Hosni Mubarak .

Security forces fired tear gas and issued a warning shot into the air to disperse anti-government protesters , who mostly come from the Islamic and secular activists .

The anti-government protesters wanted to enter Tahrir Square in the capital Cairo .

The action takes place in the field to support the government that followed thousands of people .
They chanted support for the army chief , Gen. Abdul Fattah al - Sisi last July led ouster Mohammad Morsi , president of Egypt's first elected through a general election .
