Cameroon: Boko Haram Attack Kills 91 More Than 70 People in Cameroon

Cameroon said at least 91 civilians killed since the militant group Boko Haram Nigeria was invaded villages in Cameroon, Wednesday.

Defense Minister of Cameroon, Edgard Alain Ngo Thursday (5/2) told VOA, six soldiers and 13 soldiers Cameroon Chad also killed in clashes with gunmen were in and around the border town Fotocol.

The minister said at least 500 people were injured, and the death toll was likely to rise as most of the injured have not been taken to the hospital.

Cameroon government spokesman Issa Tchiroma Bakari said, the death toll in a relatively large group of militants when they again attacked Fotocol on Wednesday.


More clashes took place in Fotocol reported Thursday. Bakari said the militant group was burned churches, mosques and villages, as well as the looting of livestock and food. (VOA)
