The rupiah in Jakarta interbank transactions on Tuesday morning moved up 11 points to Rp12.165 per U.S. dollar compared to the last position on Monday ( 10/2 ) at Rp12.176 per U.S. dollar .
Head of Research at Trust Securities Priyambada Reza said the exchange rate to move higher again as a positive influence upbeat consumer confidence index which complements the positive sentiment of Indonesian macroeconomic conditions previously published .
" The potential strengthening of the rupiah is still there , the domestic economic data quite well , " he said .
According to him , Bank Indonesia's plan to implement the monetary policy reference rate is also strictly greeted positively by the market .
Nevertheless, he predicted , the strengthening of the rupiah will move in a narrow range during the market awaits the governor of the central bank policy of the United States ( U.S. ) recently , Janet Yellen .
"The policy of the U.S. central bank governor was anticipated that the market is mainly related to the reduction of monetary stimulus , " he said .
Reza added that the strengthening of the rupiah is still overshadowed by the negative sentiment after the euro currency is no indication of the European Central Bank will keep the benchmark interest rate at a low level .
