U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry met Secretary General of ASEAN

 U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry meet ASEAN Secretary General Luo Le Minh at the ASEAN Secretariat office here on Sunday evening .

John Kerry arrived at the House of ASEAN on Sunday, at 17:25 pm , and after giving an opportunity for journalists to take pictures , instantly closed-door meeting with the Secretary General of ASEAN for 30 minutes .

According to ASEAN Secretary-General Luo Le Minh , the top U.S. diplomat to visit the ASEAN Secretariat aims to reinforce the importance of the relationship between the U.S. and the countries who are members of ASEAN .

" We mainly talked about the strategic partnership between the U.S. and ASEAN organization , " said Le , who was met after dropping ASEAN Kerry left office at 18:00 pm , without willing to explain in more detail .

Previously , Kerry also has visited the Istiqlal Mosque and gave a lecture on climate change for the U.S. Cultural Center " @ America " in Jakarta , on Sunday afternoon .

On Monday morning ( 17/2 ) , Kerry will lead the Joint Commission Meeting ( SKB ) with Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa, who will discuss the US-Indonesia Comprehensive Partnership .

During the visit the Secretary of State Kerry , Indonesia and the U.S. will also sign two memoranda of understanding ( MoU ) related to South-South Cooperation and Triangular , as well as an agreement on the protection and eradication of wildlife smuggling .

Indonesia is the third country visited Kerry in the series of his trip to Asia in 13 to 18 February . Previously , Kerry has visited China and South Korea . Abu Dhabi will be the last country to be visited Kerry before returning to the United States .
