A monitoring group Saturday (19/7) said militants from a group calling itself the Islamic State of killing 270 people when it seized a gas field in Syria on Thursday.
Human rights monitors anti-Assad, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which monitors violence in the country, said the militants have executed 270 soldiers, guards and other staff in the attack.
The report added that at least 40 militants were killed and about 30 people managed to escape to a nearby gas fields in central Syria. So far it has not been possible to verify the report.
Monitoring group based in the UK that illustrates the deadly incident as an anti-Syrian government the biggest operation since the militant group Islamic State appeared in the Syrian conflict last year.
