Swedish police are looking for incendiary mosque
Christmas Day, five people were injured when a bomb was
thrown through the window of a mosque in Eskilstuna.
Swedish police are looking for at least one person
suspected of deliberately trying to set fire to a mosque, the third in the last
week.
Reported Molotov cocktails thrown at the mosque in the
city of Uppsala. The building itself does not burn.
"Someone threw fire bombs, Molotov cocktails into
the building," said Torsten Hemlin Uppsala police spokesman told Swedish
news agency TT reported.
He added that the attacker also wrote the words racism.
No one was in the building when the attack occurred.
Police in Sweden's fourth largest city is told residents
who saw someone throw a burning object in the direction of the mosque at around
04:30 GMT.
This crime is seen as a deliberate attempt did fire,
vandalism and triggering hatred, police said.
The attack on Thursday (January 1) occurred only three
days after the fire at night in the mosque Esloev, southern Sweden who police
suspect was also a deliberate arson.
