An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale hits West Halmahera, North Maluku at 18:33 pm, Sunday.
Based on data from the official website of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, the quake was centered at 1:58 North latitude - 126.63 east longitude, or 105 km Northwest of West Halmahera, North Maluku.
The quake occurred 116 km North West of Ternate, North Maluku was no tsunami potential.
The quake occurred at a depth of 10 km is located 129 km northwest of Tidore, 141 km northwest, Sofifi North Maluku, and 2365 km northeast of Jakarta.
