Sumatran elephant (Elephant maximus sumatranus) males believed to be aged 15 years, was found dead in suspected poisoning Curek district, Aceh Jaya, Aceh Province.

Muchtar Sampoiniet CRU Commander Ranger contacted from Banda Aceh said Thursday that while the allegations are not bergading elephant died about two months ago.

Previously, two wild elephants were also found dead on the outskirts of Mount poisoning Bekah Krueng Aceh Jaya District.

Muchtar said elephant conflict in Krueng Bekah mountain suburb located about 30 kilometers west of Calang, the capital of Aceh Jaya, has occurred since the last seven years.

"The herd of elephants was often down to human settlements, destroying fields and plantations citizens," he said.

According to long-trunked animals down to the residential population due to illegal logging disturbed habitat, he said.
