PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PT DI) further strengthen the business partnership with Airbus Military through a variety of programs included in the joint production of a long-term agreement between the two companies.
"We are determined to further strengthen the business partnership with Airbus Military. The partnership was related to joint production aircraft C212-400 and C295, "said Sonny Ibrahim Saleh, Assistant Director of PTDI for Quality Control / Assistant Managing Director for Corporate Communications, in London on Thursday.
Speaking to the media related to the evaluation of the end of the year, Sonny said PTDI and Airbus Military has signed an agreement with Airbus Military C212 launch-400 upgraded version as a long-term follow-up agreement.
The aircraft was subsequently named NC212 and will be offered to civil and military customers, equipped with digital avionics and autopilot systems to date. New interior and can carry up to 28 passengers. The current version is 25 passengers, so the efficiency costs rise significantly.
All aircraft upgrade will put NC212 at very competitive bargaining position in the segment of small and medium aircraft market. The aircraft will be certified by EASA and the FAA in accordance with FAR 25.
Agreement of cooperation in the development, manufacture, commercialization and customer support to win the competition in this segment of the market to meet the needs of small aircraft, both for civil, military and cargo, in the next decade.
Sonny explain the potential market in this segment is expected to reach approximately 400-450 aircraft in the next ten years. Final Assembly Line facility is being prepared in PTDI in Bandung.
NC212 upgrade is a direct result both of the Partnership Agreement (Teaming Agreement) PTDI-Airbus Military, a joint project has remained a part of the revitalization process PTDI through a new cooperation agreement in NC212 upgrades and business development.
Also, there is a contract for nine CN295 from the Ministry of Defence to PTDI at the beginning of the year and the packets cooperation between PTDI and Airbus Military C295 related to the first is a direct result of the "Teaming Agreement", in which development plans Delivery Center CN295, CN295 Final Assembly Line, and the establishment of CN295 Service Center in Bandung.
Since October 2011, the two companies have put together teams working in PTDI facility in Bandung, where Airbus Military personnel working at the job site PTDI.
These teams work within the industrial and commercial focus on the creation of new business for both companies in advancing the capabilities of production, process engineering, information technology, and knowledge transfer in order to encourage PTDI into manufacturing small and medium aircraft in Asia and the Pacific.
