PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) managed to increase its sales to 203,051 units in the first month of 2013, up 45 percent compared to just 139,809 units in the previous month. The second largest brand in the domestic motorcycle industry is still relying on New V-Ixion to maintain the top position in the sports segment.
Yamaha sales data refers to Indonesia, from the above amount, injection models give the largest contribution to 75 per cent (151 418 units). Bestselling Mio J with 56,036 units, in one after another Soul GT (36 532 units), V-Ixion (new and old) 31 697 units, Jupiter Z1 (14 179 units) and Xeon RC (12 974 units).
Lonjakkan biggest sales come from New V-Ixion, starting close to the average 20.000an per month, the same as the older models. With this new flagship, Yamaha still maintain the predicate in the sports segment. Over the past year, total sales of 456,062 units recorded.
