Shura Assembly VII Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) decided to prohibit a public official's wife ran from the party as a member of parliament, both central and local levels.





"The ban is intended to prevent conflicts of interest and to avoid political dynasties," said MCC president Lutfi Hasan Ishaaq in a written statement received  here on Sunday.

Lutfi says wife of a public official's wife include ministers, governors, regents, mayors and council members.

MCC also prohibits married couple running for the legislature. "If he was nominated to be members of the legislature, then the wife should not be nominated," said Lutfi.

MCC VII Shura Assembly also decided on running for president in the 2014 election.

"At this time we do not feel the need to come up with a presidential candidate," he said, adding that it will be mentioned at the appropriate time.

Shura Council also banned members of the board of MCC activity conflicting or no public support, one comparative study abroad

"Violators will be penalized the organization," he said.

Lutfi asks candidates concentrate on taking care of MCC constituency.

"The PKS candidate must absorb aspirations in their respective constituency and advocating to succeed," he said.
