National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) said until Saturday (19/01/2013) at 07.00 pm, the victim died due to floods in Jakarta to 14 people.

"There are two more victims of the 12 people today," said Head of Data, Information, and Public Relations BNPB Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said in a statement here on Saturday.

Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said the two latest victims were found is Karno, a resident of Tebet, South Jakarta, and the victims were found dead in the basement of UOB Plaza Jalan MH Thamrin.

Karno was found dead by rescue teams on the banks of the Ciliwung River, Bukit Duri, Tebet, South Jakarta, or rather around Kampung Melayu Bridge Small, Friday (18/01/2013). Meanwhile, UOB Building victim found on Saturday morning.

Sutopo said, of the 14 deaths, six people died from electrocution, four people because of age and illness, two kids, one drift into the river, and one person trapped in the basement of the building.

According to him, 14 the nine deaths in West Jakarta, two in South Jakarta, one in East Jakarta, one in North Jakarta, and one in Central Jakarta.

Sutopo said that, until now there are still some areas that flood in Jakarta. In fact, according to him Ciliwung discharge also increased since yesterday afternoon due to shipment from Depok.

Until Saturday (01/19/2013) morning, Sutopo said the floods that hit the region Pluit, North Jakarta, has not subsided. The water level in the region according to more than 1.5 meters.

Earlier, the National Disaster Management Agency said there were 12 people died due to flooding that hit Jakarta since Tuesday (15/01/2013) until Friday. BNPB assess the flooding that hit Jakarta has submerged 32 districts, 102 villages, 337 RW, and RT 910.
