Mentions weather satellite image data need to be aware of extreme weather until mid-January 2013 for the whole of Indonesia is now covered with a thick cloud of potential carriers of heavy rain and strong winds cause flooding accompanied by landslides.

"The sea around Indonesia is pretty warm, two degrees warmer than average. Means that evaporation is the source of more massive cloud formation," said Deputy Minister of Science Research and the Institute of Aerospace Information National Aeronautics and Space Thomas Djamaluddin on Wednesday (01/09/2013).

How extreme, according to him, can be seen from the wind map shows the low pressure area in the south of Nusa Tenggara with a pressure of about 998 millibar (mbar) lower than the average of which is about 1013 mbar.

Low pressure area, he added, could potentially cause a storm center (cyclone) that suck the tropical air around it and potentially high winds. Based on the data, the wind speed is around 40 knots (80 km per hour).

"Evidence Narelle named storms have formed in the south of Nusa Tenggara. Storm will move west to the south of Java before eventually weaken and disappear," he said.

Since the center of the storm is a low pressure area, surrounding air aspirated, causing strong winds that affect the occurrence of high waves in the sea around the center of the storm.

"So, the sea around Nusa Tenggara, Java, and Sulawesi potentially be affected waves 2-6 meters high," he said.

"The center also suck up storm clouds around it so in the center of the storm, the clouds will be very thick. Due to the storm moved west, the collection will also cloud followed him to some parts of Java," he said.

The content of water masses in the towering clouds are very high and very massive. That means the area around the center of the storm was heading west is potentially heavy rain accompanied by strong winds.
