President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono chosen as the Newsmakers of The Year 2012 by the international news agency Reuters



President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono chosen as the Newsmakers of The Year 2012 by the international news agency Reuters. President Yudhoyono invited to receive the award at the event which will be held in Singapore in mid-February 2013.

It said President LKBN Antara Saiful Hadi after meeting with the President at the State Palace, Jakarta, Friday (11/01/2013).

Saiful was present with the Board of Directors and Supervisory Board LKBN Reuters. The meeting discussed the AP. On that occasion, between the partner event held by Reuters with an invitation to the President.

Saiful said the award was given by Reuters think President Yudhoyono has managed to bring Indonesia through the crisis experienced by the world. Indonesia is considered the most powerful country in Southeast Asia when dealing with the global crisis.

Saiful added newsmaker of the Years awards by Reuters was given the great figures of the world. Between the record, there are eight major world figures who get the award, including Lee Kuan Yew (former Prime Minister of Singapore) and George Soros (entrepreneur).

Reuters event, said Saiful, will be attended by 100 leaders from around the world economy. President asked to explain what tips Indonesia survive in times of crisis. In addition, the President asked his views on the situation in Southeast Asia. There will also be a question and answer session between the president and the participants.

"This is an excellent opportunity for Indonesia. He (the President) said would learn first invitation. Given Singapore fairly close relationship with Indonesia, God willing, he will come," said Saiful.
