South Korean Ambassador to Indonesia Kim Yeong Seon said it will hold live music in Jakarta in order to celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations with Indonesia as well as friendship.




South Korean Ambassador to Indonesia Kim Yeong Seon said it will hold live music in Jakarta in order to celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations with Indonesia as well as friendship.



"It's been 40 years we are friends as well as to establish diplomatic relations with Indonesia. To celebrate, we will hold a musical concert titled 'Music Bank' on March 9, 2013 at the Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta," said Yeong Son after meeting with the Governor of DKI Jakarta Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at City Hall, Central Jakarta, on Friday.

According to Yeong Seon, South Korean artists that will enliven the event, among others, Eru, SISTAR, Teen Top, 2PM, BEAST, SHINee, Infinite and Super Junior.

Not only that, continued Yeong Seon, it also will hold a special celebration event to celebrate the anniversary of Jakarta which falls on 22 June.

"We want to show how closely the friendship between Indonesia and South Korea, as well as at the level of the capital, between Seoul and Jakarta. Therefore, we will arrange a series of events to celebrate the birthday of Jakarta together," said Yeong Seon.

In a meeting today with Jokowi, Yeong Seon claimed to have discussed various ways of cooperation that can be executed by both parties.

"Today we are discussing the agenda could be done jointly by the government of Jakarta with the Seoul government. Cooperation will continue to be increased and carried out gradually," said Yeong Seon.

Meanwhile, Jokowi adding various cooperation that has been scheduled is, among others related to the field of infrastructure and transportation.

"In the field of infrastructure, we will be together in the form of restoration Ciliwung river dredging from the Istiqlal Mosque until the New Market area," said Jokowi.

While in transport, continued Jokowi, namely the construction of railways, especially the train from Jakarta to Depok or elsewhere around Jakarta.

Jokowi hope that the two capitals, namely Jakarta and Seoul can continue to improve up to a partnership in the coming years.
