Nahdlatul Ulama (OUTGOING) Marsudi Syuhud offers economic policy perspectives of Islam as an alternative economic policy model

Secretary General of the Governing Board Of Nahdlatul Ulama (OUTGOING) Marsudi Syuhud offers economic policy perspectives of Islam as an alternative economic policy models that can be taken by the Government to realize the people prosperous, just, and equitable.

"We need an alternative model of economic policy more favors to Indonesia mustadafiin (weak groups, Red), as well as in the teachings of Islam," Marsudi said while delivering his dissertation in open court the promotion of a doctoral degree in economics at the University of Trisakti, Jakarta, on Tuesday.

In his dissertation, titled "Indonesia's economic policy in the Era of reform in the Islamic Perspective," Marsudi said in drawing up the economic policy of the Government must not only wear conventional economic theory is the fact that until now have not been able to realize the people's welfare in a fair and equitable.

"As successful as any kind of economic policy is applied, it cannot be called successful if unevenly felt by all the people of Indonesia," he said.

According to Marsudi, the economic system of Islam that emphasizes fairness, equity, and prosperity shared among small and large can become an alternative solution that can be applied.

"The Government should carry out economic policies are fairness, equity and shared between the berkemakmuran small and large, between corporate and SMALL MEDIUM ENTERPRISES, not only pursue economic growth," he said.

In composing his dissertation, Marsudi doing research and analyze problems using mixed methods, i.e., Policy Analysis Willian Dunn (2003) and the Tauhidy String method of Relation (TSR) which is unconfirmed by the method of Thariqah Istidlaliyah of Nahdlatul Ulama (TISNU).

From research it does, Marsudi concludes that the economic policies of the Government that looks good in landscape planning, especially in terms of vision, mission, and goals, but in the level of implementation is still far from the goals that are set.
