United States send a signal to protect its NATO allies bordering Russia to launch first joint military exercises in Eastern Europe since the Kremlin intervened Ukraine .
In the Black Sea , across the waters of the Crimean peninsula where Russian troops took over the reins of power of Ukraine , a destroyer of the U.S. Navy will take part in the maneuvers of war with Romania and Bulgaria .
In northern Poland , fighter - jet U.S. fighter jets arrived at Lask air base to take part in joint exercises which will be inspected directly by the President of Poland .
The neighboring countries of Ukraine NATO members feel they will be the next target of Russia .
Speaking on Polish missile defense site , not far from the headquarters of the Russian Baltic Fleet in Kaliningrad , the Polish Defence Minister Tomasz Siemoniak said joint exercise will be smaller with only involve transport aircraft .

Documents Washington , which received Moscow on Friday , detailing " a concept that does not agree with us because everything is stated in terms of any conflict between Russia and Ukraine and the state faced terms , " Lavrov told Putin .
" The partners we suggested that we go out of the situation created by the coup , " he told AFP .
He did not give further details about the content of Washington 's proposal .
Ukraine, Monday , seeks to gain the support of the Western countries after Russian President Vladimir Putin insisted that Crimea has the right to join his country .
