The Government set
up a Land and Incentives for investors the refinery
KATADATA – the
Government will fully support the claims of investors
who will build a refinery in Indonesia. The current Government was
preparing incentives and variousconvenience for investors the
refinery.
Minister of energy and
Mineral resources (DEMR) Sudirman Said said there are someincentives will
be given to investors that the Government will build the refinery. Aboutthese
incentives, the Ministry of MINERAL RESOURCES will still discuss
it together withthe Ministry of finance next week.
"In principle, employers should
not be sacrificed," said Minister of energy and Mineral
resources (DEMR) Sudirman Said in his Office, Jakarta,
Friday (14/11).
Incentives for investors this
refinery is urgently needed. In the previous Government,Kuwait Petroleum and Saudi
Aramco already has plans to build a refinery in Indonesia.However,
because the Government has not been able to provide the
requiredincentives, finally this plan null and void.
According to Sudirman, Indonesia urgently
needs a new refinery construction. In fact,the Government will continue
to look for investor claims. If it can be pendiskusian withthe investors, continued
to do until an agreement is reached.
In addition to incentives, the
Government also will facilitate the land for the refinerywill
be built. The Ministry of MINERAL RESOURCES will be responsible for selecting a
suitable location for a refinery. According to Sudirman, it will coordinate
with theDirectorate of the wealth of the State Ministry of
finance in terms of the provision ofthis land. Because of
the Government's list of assets included in the
balance sheet of the country, which is the authority of the Ministry
of finance.
Sudirman confessed
to plans to give full support on this refinery continued investorprogram of
the previous Government were not realized. The previous
Government hadindeed planned to give income tax exemption incentives of
up to 15 years, and providing a 400-hectare land area for
investors who will build the refinery has a capacity of 300,000 barrels
per day.
To ensure this
plan to run, the Government will hold meetings with Pertamina. "See
you next week Secretary of STATE-OWNED COMPANIES, pertamina and
the Ministry of MINERAL RESOURCES to further pursing this
plan," he said.
