AirAsia has a total of 30 victims recovered from the
ocean
AirAsia victim was taken to Surabaya to undergo the
process of identification by the Police DVI team.
Head of the National Search and Rescue Agency Bambang
Soelistyo states until Friday afternoon (02/01) had 30 bodies of victims of
AirAsia QZ8501 removed from Karimata Strait.
"I can confirm that there were 30 bodies
found," said Bambang Soelistyo.
In the evacuation process, the body is transported by
ships taken to search for Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan town closest to the
search location.
After it was brought to Surabaya to be identified by the
team DVI (Disaster Victim Identification) Police Headquarters.
Once completed identified, the remains will be handed
over to the families of the victims for burial.
National Search and Rescue Agency said the bad weather is
still a major obstacle to finding the victims.
AirAsia aircraft with flight number QZ8501 lost en route
from Surabaya to Singapore on Sunday morning (28/12).
There are 155 passengers and seven crew members on the
plane.
Meanwhile, the focus search is now directed to the seabed
to find the airframe and flight recorders, which are crucial to know the cause
of the crash into the sea.

Transportation J.A. Barata, AirAsia has operating permit route
Surabaya-Singapore-Surabaya for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, as
stated in the permit issued on October 24, 2014.
But in reality, there are flights operated outside the
permit.
