Chairman of Persija Jakarta,  Feri Paulus admitted it has been unable to pay salaries Bambang Pamungkas and his friends are said to be in arrears for five months. One reason for some sponsors Kemayoran Tigers have now withdrawn.

"We are not able to pay their salaries. Due note we receive revenue from tickets only Rp 4.2 billion, while administration costs more than $ 8 billion. So it is not enough to charge us," Ferry said while speaking in front of hundreds of members of The Jakmania in the Office of Persija in the Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, Thursday (03/01/2013).

Ferry said the current management of Persija has total debt of USD 8 billion for the implementation of the competition Indonesia Super League (ISL). For the players themselves, Kemayoran Tigers still owe a fee of Rp 3.7 billion.

"The bottom line Persija will not be like yesterday. Should be no rationalization or reduction in salary. Yang has not agreed Ismed Soyfan and Bambang Pamungkas. BUT, we have to convey our abilities like this," said Ferry.

Due to financial problems, Persija boycotted by a number of important players, one Bepe and Ismed. Besides Bepe and Ismed, Persija eight major players, namely Amarzukih, Leo Saputra, Ramdhani Lestaluhu, Andritany Ardhiyasa, Rahmat Affandi, Johan Juansyah, AA Ngurah Revelation, and Galih Sudaryono did the same.

Ferry added that it had discussed the continuation of contracts with eight players whose salary has not been paid. However, for Bepe and Ismed until now has not wanted to talk about the contract prior to payment of salary is settled.

"Everything has been attempted., But they (Bepe and Ismed)'m settled first. However, we can not afford," said Ferry.
