Citilink, a subsidiary of PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk to service low-cost airline (LCC), starting January 16, 2013 opened a new route Batam-Palembang flights twice each day, ie 07.30 pm and 13:40 pm to Batam-Palembang and 09.00 am and 15:10 PM to Palembang-Batam. One-way fares for the new route is established starting from Rp 375,000.

In addition to the new route, starting on Thursday (01/10/2013), Citilink also increase the frequency of flights on routes Batam-Padang, respectively at 11:35 pm and 17:45 am to Batam-Padang and at 12:05 pm and 18:15 pm to Padang-Batam.

Opening and additional routes to and from Batam to accommodate higher passenger traffic coming and going to Batam. As one door closest to neighboring Indonesia, Singapore, Batam encourage rapid economic growth is also high demand for transportation, particularly air transportation.

With the addition of Batam-Palembang route, Citilink has served 106 frequency of flights to several cities in Indonesia every day.
