President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono criticized the handling of political, legal, and security (Politics) by levels of government throughout 2012.




President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono criticized the handling of political, legal, and security (Politics) by levels of government throughout 2012. President referred to the judgment of law enforcement and public safety during the year 2012 are not encouraging.

"More broadly, the wider community is also highlighted and was not satisfied with the handling of legal issues and security," the president said, as he opened a cabinet meeting at the presidential palace in Bogor, West Java, on Monday (07/01/2013).

The meeting was attended by the top officials who deal with Politics, like the Coordinating Minister Djoko Suyanto, National Police Chief Gen. (Pol) Pradopo East, the TNI Commander Admiral Agus Suhartono, Attorney General Basrief Arief, and the Head of the State Intelligence Agency Marciano Norman.

Also present were other ministers, including State Secretary Sudi Silalahi, Minister of Communications and Information Tifatul Sembiring, Minister of Religious Affairs Suryadhama Ali, Minister Gamawan Fauzi, and Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam.

The President said that law enforcement is not entirely in the hands of the government because of the Corruption Eradication Commission and the court which is outside the executive. However, the government has a central role to maintain security and public order.

The President added that throughout 2012 many escalation of violence, communal conflicts, to horizontal impact. There is also the impression of the public that the state disregarded, too late, and incomplete when dealing with various problems.

Therefore, the President instructed all agencies related to Politics, especially the local government, in order to more effectively maintain security and order in 2013.

"I underlined that there should be no hesitation in enforcing and maintaining security. Till the next level, do not exist and may not (doubt). Police, territorial commands, intelligence in the area assigned to it by the state, with all the risks to people we. sure in Indonesia doing what we expected it, "he said.
