"The market is increasingly competitive aerospace industry. PT DI as the aircraft industry the pride of the Indonesian nation must be ready to face the challenge that still exist," said IP Windu Nugroho, senior staff of Communication Division PT DI told reporters in  Bandung, West Java on Tuesday (4/12).

Windu said PT DI ranks of business challenges facing efforts to realize it's not an easy job. It takes hard work and determination of all components linked together, support the Government and other stakeholders, the discourse is not enough, said Windu.

To answer the challenge, PT DI has done and Revitalization Restructuring Program both in terms of organization, finance, human resources, improvement of information systems technology, engineering, and others.

"The restructuring is based on the direction of the Government during the inauguration of the new management last October," said Windu.

For Revitalization program, he said, PT DI is fully supported by experts from Airbus Military as a key business partner today. The long history of cooperation PTDI and Airbus Military in the creation and development of aircraft in Indonesia since 1976.

"With growing confidence in Airbus Military PTDI performance, some form of the new agreement was drawn up and signed," Windu said, adding Airbus has decided the transfer of production of its C295 aircraft from Seville in Spain to London.

PTDI-Airbus Military Cooperation, among others, the Strategic Cooperation Agreement (Strategic Collaboration Agreement), Team Agreement (Teaming Agreement), the Agreement CN295, Industry Collaboration Agreement (Industrial Collaboration Agreement).

Special program for the revitalization project CN295, cooperation aims at extending the capabilities of the National Strategic Industries, signed on December 21, 2011, includes some strategic work packages, namely Rear Fuselage, Empennages, Delivery Center, In-Service Support and Computer Based Training.

Of such cooperation, PT DI hope to produce several critical components of the aircraft CN295, both of which are intended for domestic and foreign customers, as well as the delivery of the aircraft to the customer on time.

Currently, PT DI and Airbus Military has completed the Industrial Plan and the New Lay-out for Rear Fuselage, Empennages and Delivery Center.

"It is expected in early 2013 as the central dispatch Delivery Center CN295 aircraft construction would be finished," he said.

In addition, the work of other revitalization program is revamping to transform the existing IT system, the original system of Integrated Resources Planning (IRP) to Enterprise Resources Planning system (ERP).

The ERP system will be used is SAP, the ERP system is now much users both within the state and private sectors with advantages such as the data is more accurate, better visibility, better control and data flow more smoothly around the unit and he ntara directorate in the environment company.

Since its establishment in 1976 until now PTDI has produced more than 300 aircraft, both fixed wing (fixed wing) and helicopters (rotary wing). For product NC-212 aircraft under license CASA (now Airbus Military), PTDI has produced more than 102 units of both civil and military versions.

PTDI also been producing as much as 122 NBO-105 helicopters under license MBB (now Eurocopter Germany). Most helicopters are operated by the Indonesian military.

Additionally PTDI has also produced NBell-412 helicopter more than 33 units plus NBell EP-412 7 units licensed under Bell Helicopter Textron (USA) and 22 units of Super Puma helicopters under license Aerospatiale (now Eurocopter France).

CN-235 products from partnership with CASA Spain that began in 1979 has produced approximately 260 units and has spread in many countries of the world. CN-235 first flew in December 1983 and began to enter the market in 1986.
