Climatology Meteorology and Geophysics Agency give early warning of moderate to heavy rain in some areas in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Greater Jakarta/ Jabodetabek
) from early January to February 2012.

"There was increased activity in the formation of rain clouds accompanied Jabodetabek lightning, lightning, and high winds," said the head of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Sri Woro Buadiati Harijono on Tuesday.



Sri Woro said, the work of weather radar images showed rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds of short duration at 17.30 pm will take place in the Serpong, Ciledug, Senayan, Palmerah, Slipi, Lebak Bulus, Pondok Indah, Sunter, City, Ragunan, Kemang and surroundings.

It is also cautioned to Prapatan Mampang area, Gambir, Jatinegara, Depok, Bogor, and the surrounding peaks.

"This condition is expected to last until at 19:30 pm and is widespread in the Parung, Cipondoh, Cikarangm Pulogadung, Kelapa Gading, Cilincing, Pluit, Muara Angke, Kapuk, Ancol, Tanjung Priok and beyond," said Sri Woro.

Sri Woro said the rain will still be flushed all regions in Indonesia until February and intensity declined in April.

"For the whole of Indonesia is going to rain, and then transition to the dry season will take place in May," said Sri Woro via text message.

Meanwhile, the rain capital of Jakarta on the first day of 2013 with moderate intensity in the late afternoon on Tuesday, and police urged road users to be careful.

"Almost half of Jakarta in flush with moderate rain this afternoon," said the police officer TMC Aiptu Arief said here on Tuesday.
