Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) Station Pekanbaru, Riau, said the past two days the NOAA-18 satellite to detect the emergence of hot spots in 45 locations across Sumatra.



"Dozens of hot spots is indicated as land or forest fires occurred in several provinces in Sumatra," said analyst BMKG Pekanbaru, Yudhishthira Mawaddah, in Pekanbaru, Monday (07/01/2013).

He said the emergence of 'hotspots' are in the Riau highest number reached 23 points, which is 13 ditanggal January 5 and ten points detected on the 6th of January 2013.

Hot spots were also detected in the region of West Sumatra mainland, where on January 5, there are as many as eight points.
Later in Jambi province, continued Yudhis said, there are as many as eight points, two emerging ditanggal January 5 and six emerging ditanggal January 6, 2013.

For the region of North Sumatra province, too, he said, appeared five points, where two of them were detected on January 5 and the other three were detected ditanggal January 6, 2013.

"While in South Sumatra hotspots detected datu on January 5, 2013. To ditanggal January 6, return nil," he said.

The potential emergence of hot spots by Yudhis still going to happen on this day to remember the next two days the temperature is still hot.
