In addition to preparing doctors to deal with people who complain of pain, Team Disaster Response Unit (DERU) Gadjah Mada University also set up a team of Volunteers Pet Sitting for flood rescue trapped animals.

This was stated by Vishnu Nurcahyono Coordinator, Sunday (20/01/2013), in the village of Advance RW 04 Sub Ancol, North Jakarta.

According to Vishnu, the animal rescue team from the Faculty of Veterinary University of Gajah Mada. They drive around in places affected by floods, looking for sick animals and provide help.

"Our job is to save pets affected by flooding, then we check to see if there are health problems in animals. If there is, we give a new treatment," said Eni Purwaningsih, one of the volunteers.
