National Disaster Management Agency focus on more pressing casualties. Various efforts will continue until the state revoked Jakarta flood emergency response.

This was stated by Head of Data, Information, and Public Relations BNPB Sutopo Purwo Nugroho told reporters in Jakarta, Friday (18/01/2013).

"Right now the focus is save more lives. Victim must be no increase to more and more," said Sutopo.

As a tangible form, BNPB will not refer to a senior citizen emergency tents, but directly to the nearest hospital. "Victims of our elderly will be directly taken to the hospital. All expenses will be borne by the local government, central pemirintah and BNPB. Do not let anyone fall victim again," said Sutopo.

From the data gathered by BNPB until 10:00, the death toll amounted to 11 people. Five people were killed due to electric shock in the event of flooding. In addition, there are four seniors and two children.


Floods still inundated dozens of points in DKI Jakarta. Hundreds of thousands of people affected and tens of thousands more were forced to flee to evacuation posts.

1. Anga (13), male, a resident of RT 05 RW 01, Village of Tanjung Duren Utara, District Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta. Anga died from drowning into the river Secretary.

2. Mak Inah (82), women, residents of Kampung Pulo, Jatinegara, died due to aging.

3. Mujiyo (46), male, a resident of RT 05 RW 05, Village Kedaung Kaliangke, District Cengkareng, West Jakarta. Mujiyo died of electrocution in flooded areas.

4. Muhammad Haikal (2), male, a resident of RT 05 RW 05, Village Kedaung Kaliangke, District Cengkareng, West Jakarta. Haikal died from falling out of bed in his house was flooded.

5. Solahuddin (35), male, a resident of Kalibata Pulo, District Pancoran, South Jakarta. Solahuddin died of electrocution in flooded areas.

6. Masyuriah (50), women's, RT 02 RW 14, Village Warakas, Tanjung Priok. Masyuriah died due to electric shock.

7. Raif Anjar Agasi (13), man. Residents of North Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta, died of electric shock.

8. Wahyudi (26), male, tinggl address unknown, and died due to electric shock.

9. Mujiyo (46), man. Residents RT 5, RW 05, Village Kedaung Kaliangke, District Cengkareng, West Jakarta.

10. Sugito, a resident of RT 12, RW 2, Village Bridge Lima, Tambora Sub-district, West Jakarta. Sugito died from slipping, and pain.

11. Lusian, RT 002, RW 3, Village Roa Malaka, District Tambora, West Jakarta. Lusian cold, when I want to be saved is in a state of death.

For information, the Jakarta area affected by the current floods reaches 41 square kilometers. Of the region at least 248 846 people (97 608 heads of households), which is derived from RT 910, 337 RW, 74 districts, and 31 districts affected.
