Singapore Technology Aerospace (STA) through its subsidiary,
Singapore Aero Technology Academy (STAA) PTE LTD, confirmed that it will
provide training and education for prospective pilots airbus A320 Merpati.
"STAA is a prospective pilot educational institutions
in Asia and has obtained training and education as well as airline pilots from
European aviation authorities (JAA), aviation authority's Republic of China
(CAAC), and Repulik Singapore (CAAS) itself," said Senior Vice President
Corporate Secretary Merpati, Herry Saptanto in Jakarta, Sunday (01/27/2013).
Now, he said, will be working together to provide education
and training for prospective pilots Pigeons airbus A320 as the airline plans to
add a lot of these types of aircraft in the next few years.

The memorandum of understanding (MOU) cooperation between
Merpati and STAA was signed in Jakarta a few days ago by the President of STAA,
Peh and Rudi Setyopurnomo Teng Keng as Director of Merpati.
In cooperation plan STAA plans to train approximately 150
candidates each year Merpati airbus pilot. Education and training will be
divided into several batches.
"STAA with Merpati will hold joint direct recruitment,
including test or filter end of the candidate or prospective cadets Merpati
pilots who would be trained in the STAA MPL (Multicrews Pilot License)
program," he said.
Later, experts from STAA power will come from Australia and
Singapore to conduct direct recruitment to prospective cadets or cadet in
Indonesia.
Increase MMF
Multicrews Pilot License Program to be held jointly between
Merpati and STAA itself has 312 hours of lessons. Pilot candidate selected will
be trained or educated in the education center owned by STAA both in Singapore
and in Australia Balarat.
All educational facilities, including simulators and
training aircraft airbus types, provided by the STAA. After the cadets complete
all courses as well as various kinds of education that must be followed and
passed, STAA handed over to the Merpati pilots, and then operate the Airbus
A320 aircraft Merpati.
"Although education was held at the STAA, both in

Director General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Transport of the Republic of
Indonesia or DGCA, Directorat General Civil Aviation," said Herrera.
Furthermore, cooperation between Merpati and STAA is not

improving the ability of MMF (Merpati Maintenance Facility) or Merpati aircraft
maintenance facility.
