Brothers mixed doubles Markis Kido / Pia Zebadiah Bernadet made a surprise by eliminating third seed from Malaysia, Chan Peng Soon / Goh Liu Ying, Thursday (10/1).
In the second half the Korea Open Superseries Premier, Kido / Pia defeated Chan / Goh in a rubber game 12-21, 21-15, 21-13.
This is the first meeting Kido / pia, which is ranked 19th in the world and an opponent who is ranked 3rd world.
With this victory, Kido / Pia advanced to the quarter-finals and await the winner of the match between Thailand doubles, Sudket Prapakamol / Saralee Thoungtongkam with double China Qiu Zihan / Bao Yixin.
