Department of Tourism Government of Jayapura, Papua, is heavily developed tourist village as a tourist destination alternative to marine tourism. "Various activities we have done to prepare Jayapura city as a tourist destination in 2016, one of which is committed to the development of the village or rural tourism," the mayor said Jayapura, Tommy Mano in Jayapura on Monday (01/07/2013).
He noted the positive impact the development of the tourist village will be directly received by the community and local tourism sector revenues. "To achieve this, the local government has requested assistance through the Ministry of Tourism's Tourism PNPM aid destined for villages and sights, with a total fund of Rp 100 million per village," he said.
According to Tommy obstacles to the development of the tourist village is usually the human resources and the leadership of the village. "For that, we took elements engaged in tourism as Asita, Indonesian Chef Association (ICA) to develop local culinary and academic circles," he said.
Department of Tourism Koya Jayapura also continue to tour facilities and infrastructure, such as cottage at several locations and socialization of tourism awareness.
