"The water was first climbed at 04.00 pm, reaching a height of 100 meters or three flood alert," said chief executive Andi Sudirman Hari Katulampa weir when contacted on Wednesday morning.

Andi said the water level of 100 cm had lasted for about 2 hours. Until 6:45 pm the water level gradually receded to 80 cm.

"The water was down 20 cm to 80 cm, four flood alert status yet," he said.

Andi said the possibility of further increase given the volume of water still pouring rain Puncak and Bogor City area today.

The rain pouring down in Puncak, Bogor, and most of the Bogor Regency since Tuesday (8/1) around 13.00 pm.

The intensity of rain is sometimes mild and moderate but very long duration.

Estimated shipment of water from the Bogor will arrive around noon, so the people of Jakarta are asked to be vigilant.
