Brains were stolen including the brain of Charles Whitman, the shooter in Texas in 1966.

Dozens of human brain is missing from the University of Texas at Austin, USA.
Professor Tim Schallert of the university said there may be the steal of the brain that is stored in a jar in the basement.

Brains were used for research and for teaching.
Professor Schallert says he believes one of the brain is the brain of Charles Whitman who shot at Austin in 1966.

Whitman killed 16 people before he was shot dead by police.
"We think there are people who steal these brains but we are not so sure," said Schallert.

His colleague Professor Lawrence Cormack said, "The possibility of information about brain circulated among students and brains began to change hands for display and become material for a Halloween prank."

Government hospitals Austin's brains move to Austin university about 28 years ago under the agreement "cooperation while" The university said in a statement will investigate "the conditions surrounding the collection (the brain), which is here almost 30 years".
