Indonesian Government Targets increase to 350 Million Tons of Coal to Exports
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The government is targeting exports of
at least 350 million tons of coal in 2015, an increase compared with the
prognosis in 2014 about 320 million tons.
Director General of Mineral and Coal, Ministry of Energy
and Mineral Resources R Sukhyar on Tuesday, said it is targeting coal
production reached 460 million tons in 2015.
"From the production, as many as 110 million tonnes
to meet the needs of consumers in the country," he said after meeting with
the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said.
Thus, he added, as many as 350 million tonnes of the
export consumption.
The export figures with a record of domestic consumers
absorb as much as 110 million tons of coal.
Based on data from previous years, the quota obligation
to supply to the domestic market (domestic market obligation / DMO) is not
absorbed.
In 2014, the target of 95 million tonnes of coal DMO,
probably only absorbed about 70 million tons.
According Sukhyar, 460 million tons of coal production in
2015 was increased by 35 million tons compared to the initial plan of 425
million tons.
"The increase in coal production to meet increased
state revenue," he said.
Sukhyar said, the 2015 revised state budget, non-tax
revenues (non-tax) for minerals and coal is targeted to increase to Rp10
trillion.
In Budget 2015, the non-tax revenues planned minerba
Rp40,6 trillion, but was revised to Rp50,6 trillion in the 2015 revised state
budget.
"The increase in non-tax revenues Rp10 trillion, it
is estimated that 90 percent comes from coal," he said.
Therefore, he continued, the government raised its
production target of 460 million tonnes.
According to him, the government can not expect an
increase in non-tax revenues from coal prices following the price drop today.
DG Data Mining Ministry of Energy, coal reference price
(HBA) in December 2014, around 64 US dollars per ton.
HBA is kept under pressure compared to January 2014 were
still 80 dollars per ton.
However, Sukhyar ensure the increase in coal production
has been adapted to the carrying capacity of the environment.
"We do not mess with the environment. The increase
was already we take into account the carrying capacity of the
environment," he said.
