Indonesia optimistic to swim team won seven gold medals in the SEA Games 2013 in Myanmar's future. Medals are expected to be achieved from a number of individuals and teams.

This was stated by Coach National Team Pool Albert C. Sutanto Indonesia in Jakarta, Wednesday (16/01/2013).

Albert said the target could be achieved because the medal was preparing for the SEA Games this time is different from before. If in the previous SEA Games athletes practice only a few months ahead of the game, this year they have started practicing since October 2012.

Preparation is not only in Jakarta, but also has been done in their respective areas of origin of the athletes. However, starting next Monday pools all athletes who numbered about 35 people scheduled to go into Pelatnas.

At the 2013 Games athletes targeted a gold medal as I Gede Siman Sudartawa in the number individual 100 meter and 200 meter backstroke, Glen Victor Sutanto in the 100 meter butterfly, Triadi Fauzi in the 50 meters freestyle, and Monaliza Arieswati and Raina Saumi in the 200 butterfly.



To ensure the gold medal targets can be achieved, in addition to receiving training in Indonesia, a number of athletes also planned to practice in Australia.

"The plan is there will be six people to be sent to Australia in mid-February 2013 to get guidance from Simon Redmon, Australia coach," said Albert.

The athletes are scheduled to be delivered is targeted swimmer won the gold medal as Siman Sudartawa, Triadi Fauzi, Glen Victor, Raina Saumi, Monalisa Arieswati and Yessi Yosaputra.

However, of the six athletes are only three people who went to Australia to make sure that Reina, Monaliza, and Yessi. While Siman, Triadi, and Glen refused.
