Japan Will Purchase Siluman Stealth Fighter Jet
Japan announced on Tuesday it will buy jet-stealth Stealth fighter jets, submarines and other advanced aircraft as part of strengthening its military and improve the island's defense in the middle of a territorial dispute with China.
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's Cabinet agreed to use the funds worth 24.7 billion yen (240 million u.s. dollars) between 2014 and 2019 in changing strategy toward the South and West of the country--its military budget increase of five percent over the past five years.
Weapon equipment shopping was part of efforts to boost the military in Japan that Abe, who officially is taking the road of peace since its defeat in World War II. Japan has an adequate military equipment and personnel has restricted the role of professional martial arts.
"Can we truly protect the lives of citizens and our country only by implementing the right to defend ourselves individually?" asked Abe to rhetoric at a meeting with a panel of security experts Tuesday, as reported by the news agency Kyodo Japan.
Large-scale spending on military equipment occur when Japan set up a National Security Council as the United States is estimated at ala concentrate more power in the hands of a small number of politicians and senior bureaucrats.
Fears are growing in Japan for increased power in China. The two countries dispute sovereignty problem involved one cluster of islands in the East China Sea, and the threat from North Korea, which is not predictable.
The outlines of the new Cabinet approved on Tuesday called on Japan to increase his control of the missile defense system faced the "threat" from North Korea.

United States Secretary of State John Kerry said on a visit to Manila Tuesday that his country supports the plans newly announced Japan by stating it has been discussed with US before.
"Japan has the ability to play a more modern role and get involved (in the region). This is something that we have discussed, and they have planned for a period long enough, "he told reporters.
Expenditure for military equipment spending will rise to 24.7 trillion yen over five years starting in April 2014, up from 23.5 trillion yen over the period to March 2014, but that figure could be trimmed up to 700 billion yen if the Ministry of defense can do the savings and efficiency.
The new equipment will include two destroyers equipped with anti-missile systems and 28 fighter jet F-35 stealth aircraft, one far superior to a number of F-15 jet fighter that Japan currently running.
Japan will also buy other equipment designed to improve maritime surveillance and improve the island's defenses, as AFP.
