World Bank have collected 52 billion dollars for poor countries
The World Bank said that the group of developed and developing countries have agreed to contribute 52 billion dollars in funding over the next three years for the poorest countries .
This figure represents an increase of five percent of the collection or replenishment of funds in 2010 , known as the International Development Association ( IDA ) , the World Bank fund dedicated to the poorest countries .
A total of 46 countries pledged to contribute to the IDA , which provides loans with zero to low interest rates and grants for investment in health and education , infrastructure and agriculture , as well as economic and institutional development to the least developed countries .
" The fact that this generosity comes during a very difficult economic period made all the more significant this promise , " World Bank President Jim Yong Kim told reporters in a teleconference on Tuesday .
Kim said , developed countries and developing plays a major role in this fundraiser , and the World Bank appreciates their participation .
" IDA is a unique partnership of countries - developed and developing countries who are committed to invest in a better future for the world's poor and for the global public good , " said Joachim von Amsberg , World Bank Vice President for finance and global partnership konsesiional .
The fund is replenished every three years . Latest charging that lasted from July 2014 until June 2017 , the target range " Millennium Development Goals " and the launch of the post 2015 agenda - an important crossroads in global efforts to end poverty , the World Bank noted .
