. PT Indonesian Aerospace pocketed 100 orders N219
SOE strategic PT Indonesian Aerospace ( PT DI ) won 100 aircraft orders N219 which will be produced next year for air transport in the country .
" The new N219 would do , designed this year , next year and assembled . Target by 2015 was able to fly , " PT DI president director Budi Santoso said on the sidelines of his visit Minister of Industry MS Hidayat and Minister for State Development Planning ( VAT ) / Head of Bappenas Armida Alisjahbana , in Bandung , West Java , on Friday .
He said most of the orders come from domestic airlines and local governments . Recognized Budi , the order is still a memorandum of understanding ( MoU ) .
" Usually the first MoU , when it flew the new ' make ' contracts , " he said .
He said the N219 aircraft capable of carrying as many as 19 passengers , has a great potential in Indonesia . He estimates his needs could reach 100-150 units of small aircraft .
" Target ( Sales ) Our minimum 100 aircraft , mainly for the domestic first and then export to neighboring countries , " said Budi .
Added VP of Marketing PT DI Arie Wibowo , until today it has signed a MoU which consists of 120 units 50 and 50 is definitely the message is potential to buy more units , and 20 units of PT Merpati Nusantara orders that are currently not in operation .
" The plane is very competitive price N219 with similar aircraft Twin Otter and Cessna Caravan , " he said .
N219 price , he said , only about 4-5 million / unit , while the Twin Otter and Cessna Caravan can reach 6-7 million / unit .
According to Director General of High Technology-Based Industries ( IUBTT ) Ministry of Industry (Ministry of Industry ) N219 aircraft is suitable to the conditions in Indonesia, which requires airlines rarely short with little foundation .
" Initially these aircraft are designed to Papua mountainous landscape , and impenetrable land transportation , " he said .
The plane , he said , requiring only runway about 500 meters , making it suitable for aviation pioneer who rarely sails up to two hours .
